2. Application of the College Scholastic Ability Test

  • A. Applying the Minimum Requirement of Scholastic Ability Test areas
    - The average percentile of each area in the Scholastic Ability Test is calculated Example) An applicant who applied to the Department of Humanities by Non-scheduled Admission in Semester 2 as a High Academic Achiever.
    (Language Percentile + Foreign Language Percentile) ÷ 2
  • B. Using Scholastic Ability Test Scores for Applicants applying by Regular Admission (Group A*B*C)
    • ① The percentile of each Scholastic Ability Test area is converted to the ratio of application, and percentiles are added and converted to an applicable score.
      Example) An applicant who applied to the Department of Humanities by Regular Admission (Group A) as a High Academic Achiever.
      {(Percentile of Language ×0.4) + (Percentile of Mathematics ×0.1) + (Percentile of Foreign Language ×0.4) + (Percentile of Investigation Study ×0.1)}/100 × 570 Points (Score applied)
    • ② Applying the Area of Investigative Study
      - The school selects three subjects in the order of the highest percentile by using scholastic ability test score data provided by the Korea Institute of Curriculum & Evaluation so as to calculate and apply the average value of the selected subject percentile. The Division of Pharmacy applies Chemistry and Biology from the Area of Science and selects only one subject with the highest percentile.
    • ③ Applying the Area of Second Foreign Language
      - Applying to the Department of Humanities as a High Achiever in Scholastic Ability Test through Regular Admission (Group A): 1.5% (Maximum of 1.5 Points) of the Second Foreign Language Area (French, Chinese, German, Japanese, Chinese Characters) percentile is added to the overall admission score.

    - The grade is calculated by adding the percentile values of Scholastic Ability Test Areas, based on the specifications of recruitment groups, converted by the application ratio.
    (Refer to table 1of 3. Application of School Record Transcript
    ◎ Conversion of Scholastic Ability Test Scores
    ={(Scholastic Ability Test Area 1 Percentile × Application Ratio) + (Scholastic Ability Test Area 2 Percentile x Application Ratio) + (Scholastic Ability Test Area 3 Percentile x Application Ratio)}+ (Scholastic Ability Test Area 4 Percentile x Application Ratio)}
